Eyewear & Lenses

Using the finest quality lenses is not enough. Just as important is the knowledge and experience of the optometrist and dispensing optician to take any measurements accurately and recommend the most suitable lenses for your eye prescription and the frame you choose.

Using these measurements our glazing house grinds the lenses to the selected frames.

The final step is for the optometrist or dispensing optician to correctly fit the frames to your patients face and then check your vision with our charts to ensure that you see what you should be seeing!

Obviously the size and shape of your face are important, but more critical is the correct interpretation of your prescription. The power and design of your lenses in some cases will limit your choice of frames.

  • Square face: slightly curved frames that sit high to minimize the jawline
  • Round face: straight or angular lines, deep colors
  • Triangular face: thin rims with vertical lines that sit lower on face; avoid bold colors and large frames
  • Oblong face: similar to square but frames should cover as much of the center of the face as possible
  • Oval face: almost any shape, but keep size in proportion to the face
